Playlist For Show #79
I have a lot of great blues on this show. With a brew of old time foot tappers, classic 60’s blues up to the best rock tracks all lined up for you today. Starting with a couple of very old classic blues tracks I am going to go into a nice set of foot tapping blues rock. Then we will listen to blues derivative rock. Once again I have lots of great live tracks in this set. This show will have you rocking your socks off, something Rick’s Radio seems to do every time. I have tracks from John Lee Hooker, Smiley Lewis, Guitar Slim, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray, Albert King and this week I am ending the show with a very rare track of Bob Dylan singing with Mike Bloomfield – a real treat. I will have no time to close the show with the Beatles, sorry Pilar. Lot’s of great and rare blues along with modern rock awaits you in this great hour of music with some of the most historical tracks you can find.
Yep we have another veritable history of the blues! All these tunes have been re-mastered by me for the Rick’s Radio show and it is all here for your enjoyment.
So let’s get started and remember,
More music, less words because the music is more important than me.
John Lee Hooker – Boom Boom
T-bone Walker & Pee Wee Crayton – Blues Before Dawn
Smiley Lewis & Boo Breeding – Big Mamou
Guitar Slim – Guitar Slim
Magic Sam – Easy Baby
Lowell Fulson – Pay Day Blues
Muddy Waters – Rollin’ And Tumblin’
Robert Cray – Too Many Cooks
Koko Taylor – What Kind Of Man Is This
Howlin’ Wolf – Passing the Blues
Michael Messer – Lone Wolf Blues
Albert King – Firing Line (I Don’t Play With Your Woman, You Don’t Play With Mine)
Kooper – Shuggie Otis – Shuggie’s Shuffle
Mike Bloomfield Bob Dylan – The Groom’s Still Waiting
That’s all the time I have right now and it is now time to close the show and pop this cork scene. I want to thank everyone for making this show possible and to the great artists who played the music.
Let me know what you like and what you want to hear more of. I have a pretty large collection of music and you will be hearing more of it as we go along.
Tune in next week when I bring you more great and special music. I am going to go back to more of our jazz roots, blues and root rock’n roll. Yep, that means some great songs from great artists and all of them will rock your socks off.
So remember to tune in, turn on and drop by for more great songs from histories greatest artists! Thanks again for tuning in and see you next week!
