Playlist for Show number 73

I have a lot of great blues and rock tracks lined up for you today. Starting with some classic blues from the mid 20th century I am going to expand into the amazing rock and blues of the sixties. Some of these tracks are from the very early blues movement and are actually live acoustic sets. All tracks have been re-mastered by me. You will be rocking your socks off with Ricks Radio today. I have tracks from Howlin Wolf, John Primer, Elmore James, Otis Redding, The Doors, Janis Joplin and of course I have the Beatles to close out the show. Lot’s of great blues and rock music. You will definitely have your feet tapping from this show.

Yep we have another veritable history of the blues! All these tunes have been re-mastered by me for the Rick’s Radio show and it is all here for your enjoyment.

So let’s get started and remember,

More music, less words because the music is more important than me.

Clarence Gatemouth Brown – I’ve Been Mistreated
John Lee Hooker – Boogie Woogie
Howlin Wolf – Highway man
Elmore James – You Don’t Have to Go
John Primer – I called My Baby
Edgar Broughton Band – They Took It Away
Elmore James – Sunnyland Train
Otis Redding – Rock Me Baby
Janis Joplin – Just A Little Bit Harder
The Doors – Roadhouse Blues
The Animals – Boom Boom
Paul Butterfield Blues Band – Blues With A Feeling
Mike Bloomfield – Carmelita Skiffle (live!)
Quicksilver Messenger Service – Fresh Air
The Beatles – Hello Goodbye

That’s all the time I have right now and it is now time to close the show and pop this cork scene. I want to thank everyone for making this show possible and to the great artists who played the music. Remember that everything about this show including this script is up on RicksRadio.com in both English and Spanish, so get on the site. Register and comment about the shows. Let me know what you like and what you want to hear more of. I have a pretty large collection of music and you will be hearing more of it as we go along.

Tune in next week when I bring you more great and special music. I am going to go back to more of our jazz roots, blues and root rock’n roll. Yep, that means some great songs from great artists and all of them will rock your socks off.
