Bienvenido a Ricks Radio Show, donde se puede encontrar algunos de los mejores blues, el jazz y el rock’n roll clásico en España o en el mundo. Cada semana os traigo música nueva y emocionante de los años de 1917 hasta el nuevo milenio.
Welcome to Rick’s Radio Show where you can find some of the finest blues, jazz and classic rock and roll in Spain or the world. Each week I bring you new and exciting music from 1917 right through to the new millennium.
So, let me ask you; what radio show are you listening to?
That’s right! Are you groovy guys and gals ready for the Rick’s Radio Show?
Today’s show is number 111.
I guess you might have noticed that today I said from 1917 right up to the new millennium? That’s right I have an amazing old cut from Frank Jenkins that dates back to 1917. The track is a bit rough as it comes from a very old recording but it allows us a look at old blues as it was presented almost 100 years ago. After some Lightnin Hopkins tracks I jump to the 1930’s Rockabilly with Hoyt Stevenson showing how the blues moved right along onto the streets paved in rock and blues. There is plenty of old acoustic blues. Yep, this is a history of blues music as it started way back in the day. But for those who need a touch closer to today’s reality, do not worry. I am going there. I have Fats Domino, Albert King, and even The Who featured in this show. I am closing out with an amazing set showcasing the jazz hands of Volker Kriegel. I am sure you will find this a great show with a wide variety of music, so lets get it on!
There is nothing more to say except “There’s a whole lot a music coming on.”
Big shout out to Picassent Radio l’Om 94.7FM. Son Primos! You can find us there on Saturdays at 8pm.
