Django Reinhardt was one of the greatest guitar players. His most famous works were from 1940’s to 1950 and he died in 1953 at the age of 43. As a European he is one of the few to make a mark in the jazz genre of that time. Adding to his skills was the fact that he played with only 2 fingers since his third and forth fingers were paralyzed during a fire.

Reinhardt is credited with starting a new “hot jazz guitar” which has spread through the global artists. His most famous songs are real jazz standards like, “Minor Swing,” “Daphne,” “Belleville,” and “Djanology.”

We link to a collection of his works that gives a broad spectrum of his works, and of course we choose Django to represent the best of guitars.
